During Milan Design Week 2025, La Marzocco brings its cutting-edge spirit to the Brera Design District with a debut that merges hospitality, design, and coffee culture like never before. From April 7–13, Via Ciovasso 11 will become home to the Modbar Espresso Atelier – an immersive pop-up experience that spotlights the design-forward, under-counter espresso machine: Modbar.
This marks the first-ever appearance of the Modbar brand at Fuorisalone, and it’s poised to inspire. Designed for visionaries, Modbar blends form and function in a sleek system that redefines how espresso is prepared and experienced. By hiding the machine technology beneath the counter and keeping only the elegant countertop taps visible, Modbar transforms any café, boutique, or creative space into an open, interactive bar where design and dialogue flow freely.
An atelier of ideas and flavor
At the Espresso Atelier, visitors will step into a curated space designed to ignite creativity – whether you’re an architect, designer, or hospitality professional. This activation isn’t just about showcasing product aesthetics; it’s about demonstrating how modular espresso solutions can become an integral part of an environment’s identity.
Throughout the week, Modbar will highlight its unique brewing systems – inviting guests to explore the versatility that lies beneath the surface.

Collaboration meets craft
On April 7, 10, and 11, the Atelier will feature exclusive tastings of artistic chocolate creations by acclaimed pastry chef Fabrizio Fiorani, pairing flavor and form with every bite. During these same days, Lavazza will host a series of intimate Masterclasses showcasing their 1895 Coffee Designers line – a journey through traditional and contemporary recipes brewed on Modbar systems. Each 30-minute session (available for booking in advance) offers a rare opportunity to taste, learn, and engage with the future of coffee service. Guests will enjoy an array of coffee roasting styles, and special roasteries will be present throughout the week.
