Local chapter of FCSI donates $15,000

Chandra Comfort reports on the recent 12th annual Holiday Social event for FCSI’s Northeast chapter

The newly renamed Northeast chapter of FCSI celebrated their 12th annual Holiday Social on 10 December, donating $15,000 to the Massachusetts non-profit organisation, Community Servings.

Held at Davio’s in downtown Boston, the sold-out event was attended by more than 100 industry colleagues and guests from the New England area and abroad. Also in attendance were Community Servings’ CEO, David B. Waters and VP, development & communications, Tim Leahy.

“We are so grateful for our partnership with Colburn & Guyette and the Northeast chapter of FCSI for their support of Community Servings’ food and nutrition programme at their annual holiday social,” said Waters. “It’s thanks to the generosity of others, especially at this time of year, that we are able to feed 1,600 sick neighbours and their families year-round.”
