The Burnt Chef Project launches global whistleblowing service for “to build trust and transparency”

The service was developed to provide a "trusted avenue" for employees to raise issues within the workplace via a safe, third-party channel

The Burnt Chef Project, which provides education, support, and resources, to tackle mental health stigma, has launched a new Whistleblowing Service. The global initiative is designed to support businesses in the hospitality industry.

Following the commencement of the Worker Protection (Amendment of Equality Act 2010) Act 2023, the Whistleblowing Service has been developed “to provide a trusted avenue for employees to raise issues within the workplace that they are experiencing through a safe, third-party channel,” according to the the not-for-profit organization, launched in May 2019. This service brings “another important dimension of support available to the hospitality industry,” it stated.

Crafted to transform this dynamic where often in the high-pressure environment of the hospitality sector, employees struggle to voice concerns, said The Burnt Chef Project. With this new service, organizations can give a mutual third-party to their teams, who can be contacted, before collating the information and reporting back by The Burnt Chef Project’s partner, Wellbeing CIC, who will then work alongside the client to help remedy the issues raised.
