The Burnt Chef Project, which is dedicated to creating healthy positive change and improving wellbeing in hospitality, has announced the launch of a brand new event series. The ‘Roots & Renewal’ events are dedicated to reconnecting with nature and wellbeing and will take place across the UK in partnership with foraging and cookery experts Totally Wild UK, providing a unique experience that blends the art of foraging, wellness and sustainability with a hands-on, immersive experience.
Designed to connect guests with like-minded individuals who share a passion for food, well-being and sustainability, attendees will gain expert knowledge on ethical foraging by reconnecting with our foraging roots and enjoying a communal cooking experience with their foraged finds. At each event, The Burnt Chef Project will host a dedicated wellness session to promote mental health awareness and wellbeing in the hospitality sector, focusing on the importance of mental resilience and balance.
Roots & Renewal sessions will run with one session per month from April – October this year, guided by a team of experts for a hands-on experience in some of the most picturesque woodlands in the UK. Tickets are priced at just £35 per person for the day, where a full experience of fresh cooking, nature and mental health well-being will be explored.
Wellness sessions
The Burnt Chef Project is focused on bringing the subject of mental health to the forefront of the industry and collaborating with like-minded brands. As such, ‘Roots & Renewal’ has several sponsorship opportunities available for those who share their dedication to its wellness messaging.
With a fully comprehensive digital marketing presence, additional press coverage and brand exposure through event marketing materials, brands will create a partnership alongside The Burnt Chef Project’s latest series. What’s more, sponsors can showcase their products and get involved with the wellness sessions or cooking experiences with a dedicated spot for a brand representative to attend and engage with guests.
“At The Burnt Chef Project, we are always looking for new ways to support mental wellbeing in the hospitality industry, and ‘Roots & Renewal’ is a perfect reflection of that mission. By immersing ourselves in nature, learning the art of ethical foraging, and coming together to cook and connect, we can take a step back from the pressures of daily life and focus on balance and resilience,” says Kris Hall, founder of The Burnt Chef Project.
“These events offer a unique opportunity for individuals to not only reconnect with the land but also with themselves and like-minded people. We’re excited to bring this experience to life across the UK and continue breaking down the stigma surrounding mental health in our industry.”
