According to Statista, having generated US$238bn in revenue in 2016, the Latin American foodservice sector was forecasted to maintain a steady increase until 2021 where it was predicted to reach sales of US$270bn. As with all other other global regions Covid-19 will have derailed much of that growth potential, but huge opportunities exist across Latin America.
Growth, recovery, trends and inspirations
To detail which sectors in Latin America remain volatile, and which are set for continued growth – plus to ascertain which trends and cuisines inspirations look set to take hold in a post-pandemic environment – FCSI is hosting a live and interactive webcast at 4pm (BST) on Wednesday 29 July 2020.
Following the success of FCSI’s EMEA focused webcast earlier this month, the ‘Future of Foodservice in Latin America‘ webcast will again be presented by GlobalData’s consulting director, Mark Dempsey and hosted by Michael Jones, editorial director of FCSI’s Foodservice Consultant magazine. The webcast, which will last approximately 45-minutes, will give an overview of foodservice trends and inspirations across Latin America – from Mexico down to Chile – assessing exactly how the pandemic and its resultant lockdown has affected individual countries and sectors.
