Dave Hinton to head up Middleby Star Group

Hinton joins Middleby as group vice president of Star Holdings International Companies

The Middleby Corporation has announced industry veteran Dave Hinton was named to the position of group vice president, Star Holdings International Companies which includes the brands Star, Lang, Wells, Toastmaster and Holman. In his new position, Hinton will be responsible for leading the global strategy, growing sales and marketing initiatives for each of the brands in the group.

“The Star Holdings Group is a well-known portfolio of brands and the addition of Dave to lead this group is a tremendous asset in working with our strategic partner dealers, reps and end users. Dave will build upon and enhance the current strategy, direction and vision for the Star brands,” said John Perruccio, group president.

Accomplished management team

Most recently, Hinton was vice president BU Chains at Electrolux Professional where he was responsible for the company’s growth and expansion strategy in the QSR and Retail segments. Prior to that, he spent five years with Manitowoc Foodservice, now known as Welbilt. Notably, Hinton also brings a professional background as a founder and former principal of a vertically integrated group of companies specializing in the multi-unit restaurant, hotel and retail segments. Hinton’s companies provided commercial real estate development, general construction and extensive procurement services for a number of customer brands throughout North America.
