Steve Loughton to stand down at Hoshizaki UK; Simon Frost will succeed him

Steve Loughton, director, UK & Ireland, Hoshizaki, is to retire. His successor will be Simon Frost, current director of sales and chain accounts

After 45 years in the industry, Steve Loughton is set to retire. Having worked for such illustrious brands as Garland, Welbilt, Kitchen Brains, Manitowoc Foodservice, Standex, Jestic and most recently Hoshizaki, Loughton will officially retire from his role on 1 October.

Uwe Reimer, director of sales, EMEA, at Hoshizaki Europe, expressed his thanks toLoughton for his commitment since taking on the role:

“We would like to thank Steve for his hard work over the last two years, in what has been an important transitional period for both the Hoshizaki and Gram brands, as well as Hoshizaki Europe as a whole.  We would like to wish Steve a very long and enjoyable retirement and all the best for the future.”

A seamless handover

Stepping into the vacated role will be current director of sales and chain accounts and past CESA chairman, Simon Frost (pictured below).

Frost brings over 20 years’ experience in the industry with companies such as Falcon, Manitowoc Foodservice and Wexiodisk. He will officially take on the role in October, but both Loughton and Frost will work closely together in the coming months to ensure a seamless handover.

Speaking on Frost’s appointment, Reimer continued: “We are delighted to have the perfect successor to Steve already part of the exisiting Hoshizaki UK team.

“I am confident that Simon will build on the foundations that Steve has already laid and would like to congratulate him on his appointment as Director of UK & Ireland, Hoshizaki.”
