London Heathrow Marriott Hotel has been announced as the European winner of the prestigious Green Hotelier Award 2016. Beating competition from a variety of hotel companies, the property was judged the greenest hotel in Europe for innovating and investing in new technology to improve its sustainability and reduce its consumption footprint.
One major contributor to the win was an impressive 92% and 2 million litre water savings annually in the kitchen due to the installation of a GRANULDISK pot and pan washing machine that eliminates any need for pre-washing.

Sustainability has always been a focus from Marriott International, who set clear goals on saving energy, reducing water and using sustainable resources.
